Connecting Your Digital Phone Device
Your Digital Phone Device is already configured for Novus Digital Phone Service when shipped. There is no need to configure the device.
Connecting Your Digital Phone device
- Before you install the device, please check to make sure that you have the following items:
- Novus Digital Phone Adapter Unit
- Ethernet Cable
- 5 Volt Power Adapter
- Standard Phone Cable
- One Analog Touch Tone Telephone
- To connect your Digital Phone device:
- Power down all the devices you will be networking.
- Connect an Ethernet cable from the Novus Data jack to the Internet port of the Digital Phone device.
- Connenct your PC or Router to the Ethernet port of your Digital Phone device using the Ethernet cable.
- Connect your analog phone to the Phone port, using a standard phone cable.
- If your building uses a telephone line for the Intercom, connect standard phone cable from the wall phone jack to the Line port.
- Connect the 5 Volt Power Adapter to the Power socket.
Note: Your Digital Phone device must be directly connected to Novus Internet, without going though a router, switch or any other device.
Checking Your Connection Status
- Once you have turned on your Digital Phone device, you can check its status by checking the front LED.

When you have a steady green on "Phone" LED, your digital phone service is ready. Pick up your phone handset to check for a dial tone.
